French Due Diligence: terms of use

The service

French Due Diligence is published by Sébastien Doom and sold through RapidAPI, whose terms also apply. By calling the API, you accept these terms.

Permitted use

The API may only be used for: Due diligence on French companies (KYB) and checks of French dwellings' rental compliance from their energy performance certificate (DPE).

Forbidden uses

• Profiling individuals, or assessing them for any other purpose than the permitted one
• Direct marketing, prospecting or the sale of contact lists
• Spreading calls over many connections to get around the free daily budget
• Any use contrary to the law, notably to data protection law
• Building or selling a database of individuals out of the API's responses
• Reselling or giving access to the API itself, or getting around the limits of your plan

Your obligations as a recipient of personal data

You are the controller of the personal data you obtain through the API. You must have your own legal basis to process it, keep it only as long as your purpose needs, keep it secure, and answer the requests of the people concerned.

Data quality

The data comes from public sources, which may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. It is provided as is, without warranty. It does not replace your own checks, and does not constitute legal advice: you remain responsible for your decisions.

• Géoplateforme geocoding service (Base Adresse Nationale), IGN, under the Licence Ouverte / Open Licence 2.0
• VIES, VAT Information Exchange System (European Commission), under the VIES terms of use (European Commission): live checks, not stored

Availability and liability

The API is provided without any availability commitment, and may change or be suspended. To the extent allowed by law, the publisher's liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the API over the twelve months before the event giving rise to it.
